Independence Day

It looks like it is going to be a great fourth of July. Temperatures today should reach the lower eighties on the beaches and the mid to upper eighties inland, mainly west of I-16. There is a very low chance of rain today. So, that should give us a mix of sunshine and clouds throughout the day. It should be unseasonably nice today, low humidities and high winds will give us a nice and less humid day. This is rather uncommon for this time of year around Savannah.

Winds will be swift out of the east at 20 to 30 miles per hour. This should give us that chance of rip currents along the coast today. If you are at the beach and in the water, be aware of where lifeguards are located and swim near them, as they will help you if you are caught in a rip current.

Remember, if you would like us to write about something on our blog, email us at weather@myskidawayisland.com .
